A delightful series of six seasonal and special occasion cards by Melbourne artist Cindy Howells with seasonal table ideas on the back of each card by Waldorf educator Lou Harvey-Zehra.
The six cards feature iconic Australian scenes including:
Winter: toasting marsh mellows around a cozy campfire with a full moon and owl watching oveR
Spring: carefree swinging from a sturdy eucalypt branch in a flower filled spring garden
Summer: a leisurely picnic by a bubbling stream with dragonflies, ferns and dandelions
Autumn: a stroll through an Autumnal garden with a basket to collect Autumnal treasures; past flyagris, a laden apple tree and Autumn coloured tree, a kangaroo and kookaburra watching over the scene.
Birthday: a child wearing a birthday cake and crown at the special table set for the celebration
Xmas: children gathered around a Xmas tree visited by iconic Cockies and a Parrot
These cards are designed as an Australian range for placement on the seasonal Nature Table, with instruction and ideas for creating a lovely Waldorf style display on the back of each card.
* our postcard pictures also feature post card stands by Steiner school graduate Tahlia (the stands are also available in this listing). The post card stands have been made in small batches from salvaged Tasmanian Oak, a hardwood timber, each is carefully shaped and hand finished, perfectly sanded and finished in a plant based oil.
NOTE: due to the natural variations in handmade items and woodgrain texture, and there are no two identical card stands, each is uniquely perfect.
