Ostheimer make three styles of old fashioned water wells.

The covered wells are well suited Fairy Tale enactments such as the popular Grimms tale of The Frog Prince / Princess with the Golden Ball. Any of the Ostheimer wells may become an inspiring feature piece in castle play, or a magical centerpiece in fairy play. The Village Well is equally suited to enhance a farm setting as an animal drinking trough.

Children's imaginations are ignited through hearing the tales of long long ago, worlds of castles, knights and princesses through stories. They love to become immersed in play recreating the worlds of magic and mystery, where through play, imagination can develop and creativity be stimulated.  

Whether they have one beautiful Ostheimer wooden feature piece and a couple of figures to start, or a collection to eventually form a complete castle with all the royal and / or fairytale characters, towers and turrets and accompanying pieces such as a well provides children with versatile play pieces that will transport their imagination into a far away realm.

All of our castle-parts are compatible to enable building an imaginary, fairy tale world, as fast or slow as you like.
