Jack in the Box is a traditional classic, an old fashioned tin toy with the magic of cause and effect

Children enjoy waiting and watching for the moment that Jack pops out of his box.
Young children will enjoy the anticipation of knowing he will pop up, but not quite knowing when (although once the tune is familiar they may begin to observe that he comes out at exactly the same part of the tune time each time).

TIP: when introducing to a young child place your thumb slightly over the door whilst winding so that the opening and popping out can be slowed down the first few times so as not to frighten. Once they are comfortable they will love to watch the tune speeding up and slowing down as they wait for the moment that Jack appears.
