Ostheimer is a third generation hand crafted wooden toy workshop, still made in the little town of Zell in the German countryside. 
Each piece is made intentionally with love and care, passing through several hands of artisans, each who specialise in a particular aspect of a particular figurine. 
The pieces are carefully cut, contoured, sanded and painted all by hand from beautiful sustainable timber, finished in water based paints enabling the timber to remain to be seen and felt, and oiled being hand dipped in small batches by hand into a  vat of high grade organic plant based oil.
True old fashioned craftsman and craftswoman ship! Due to the nature of being made in this way each in a batch seems at first glance to be identical, but on closer inspection each is unique and special!
