Knitting round

A younger cousin to ‘Knitting Nancy’ or ‘Leisel’. This tool is a very sturdy modern version of the traditional knitting helper. Made in Germany by Fagus from beech timber it’s suited for age 6 up. Excellent for developing concentration, confidence and patience, and using fine motor skills .

Working round and round in one direction, hooking each stitch over the thread to make a long woven string 

This set comes with a set of cotton crotchét string in a rainbow of shades to get started. Later one may use and 4 - 8 ply wool.
th wooden knobs make it easier to. Or lose stitches.  It makes a long thn tube which cold have many uses: stitch in a coil to make a mat? Make a colourful rainbow snake? Cover a pencil? Tie in the hair? Decorate the neighbourhood?
